IJburg is the second new project I will be working on this year.
After making my first documentary 'Door geleende ogen' about the Amsterdam district called 'Bijlmer' I got curious about the new district in Amsterdam called 'IJburg'. Like in my first documentary I am asking myself the following questions:
Is it the people who make the city or is it the city that makes the people?
And what is the relationship between individual freedom and society?
I am starting this project by investigating the area with my camera without prejudice. I will post the results of my first voyage into IJburg here. Later on I want to follow some of the people I meet during my trip, hoping to find answers to my questions through them.
Thanks to the Fonds BKVB I will be able to realize this project.
